The halls of The Outlast Trials just got a lot more claustrophobic, and a lot more dangerous with Otto and Arora Kress
Known in the press as “The Buffalo Minotaur,” this monstrous pair of conjoined twins are the kind of nightmare fuel that judges you while it chases you, and are the latest Prime Assets to join Murkoff’s sadistic line-up.
Otto and Arora Kress were born of chemicals and raised in carnage.
The Kress twins were born into luxury and horror.
Their father, Anton Kress, was the owner of Kress Chemical, a booming industrial empire in the early 20th century. Unfortunately, the same chemicals that made his fortune also tainted his bloodline. Otto and Arora were conjoined in utero, a grotesque mutation likely caused by exposure to the company’s own toxic compounds.
But while their origin is tragic, their path was anything but passive.
The Buffalo Minotaur Killings
From the late 1920s to the 1940s, Otto and Arora embarked on a grisly killing spree across Buffalo, New York. Their victims? Vagrants, sex workers, and even unfortunate Canadian travelers who crossed the wrong border at the wrong time.
Authorities eventually found dozens of bodies buried on the Kress estate. The press dubbed them “The Buffalo Minotaur,” a name that stuck — and echoed through Murkoff’s dark hallways decades later.
Murkoff gets involved with Otto and Arora Kress
By the mid-1950s, Kress Chemical formed ties with Murkoff Corporation, and that’s when Clyde Perry took notice.
In 1957, Murkoff began investigating the Kress twins. Their brutality, mental resilience, and symbiotic nature made them a prime candidate for Project LATHE. And now, years later, they’ve returned – stronger, more unstable, and fully weaponized.
What to Expect in the Trials
Otto and Arora Kress function as one unit and are unpredictible.
- Expect coordinated attacks, like two minds thinking through one set of bloodstained hands.
- Their behavior is erratic, their strength overwhelming.
- And their dialogue? Eerie, disturbing, almost loving in a way that makes your skin crawl.
They’re here to finish what they started in Buffalo.
Final Thoughts
The Outlast Trials has no shortage of terror, but Otto and Arora Kress are a whole new breed. A mix of tragic backstory and pure, undiluted horror — they’ll test your stealth, your sanity, and your sympathy.
Just remember: they share everything — including their rage.
